KIIT School of Electrical Engineering Organizes Tech Talk on “Microgrids from land, to the sea, and out in space” along with IEEE PELS Bhubaneswar/Kolkata Joint Chapter

An online Tech Talk on “Microgrids from land, to the sea, and out in space” was jointly organized by the School of Electrical Engineering (SOEE), KIIT Deemed to be University and IEEE PELS Bhubaneswar/Kolkata Joint Chapter on 13th February 2021. An online Tech Talk on “Power Electronics in Hydro-Electric Systems: Configurations, Challenges, and Future Scopes” was organized by the School of Electrical Engineering (SOEE), KIIT Deemed to be University on 29th August 2020. Control and Modulation Methods for Variable Frequency Drives

The School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University organized an Online Guest Lecture Series on “Control and Modulation Methods for Variable Frequency Drives ” on 25th  August 2020. The Resource Person, Dr. V. S. S. Pavan Kumar Hari, Assistant Professor, Department of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay  emphasized on the basic concepts of variable frequency drives (VFD) and its different industrial applications. He also covered the effect of harmonics, different types of 3 phases AC to DC rectifiers and PWM VSI.
