We were privileged to host Dr. Debiprasad Das, Principal Scientist, CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar, who shared valuable insights on research planning, project proposal development, funding opportunities, and strengthening research outcomes. The session witnessed active participation from faculty members and research scholars, making it an engaging and enriching academic experience.

A physical session by Mr. S. Kumar, Eminent Researcher from L&T Live Project, Chennai, was successfully conducted on 25th February 2026 at the Block-E Auditorium, Campus-3. The session witnessed active participation from students and provided valuable industry insights. Nearly 100 students participated in the session, which included Electrical/ Civil/ Mechanical Engineering. Certificates were also distributed by L&T to the top-performing students of each year, recognizing their academic excellence and achievements.
KIIT School of Electrical Engineering Hosts SDSU Senior Associate Dean for Global Collaboration
School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT, had the privilege of hosting Prof. Mahasweta Sarkar, Senior Associate Dean, Global Campus and Interim Executive Director – International Programs, and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, San Diego State University, during her visit yesterday. The interactive session with our faculty members was highly engaging and insightful. Prof. Sarkar expressed keen interest in exploring avenues for joint research projects, collaborative academic initiatives, and strengthening international partnerships between our institutions. The discussion opened promising possibilities for global collaboration aligned with cutting-edge research and academic excellence. Expert Talk on Vision towards Smart Grid Technology
The School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT successfully organized an insightful expert talk on “Vision towards Smart Grid Technology” on 13th January 2026 at the Conference Hall, Campus–3. We were privileged to host Dr. Premalata Jena, Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering and Joint Faculty, Centre for Sustainable Energy, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, who shared valuable insights on the future of smart grids, sustainable energy systems, and emerging challenges in modern power networks. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from B.Tech and M.Tech students, Ph.D. scholars, and faculty members, making it an engaging and enriching academic experience.
Student Interactions with Foreign Delegates participated in India TREK Program
As part of the TREK initiative, which aims to enhance global engagement by offering a truly enriching Indian academic experience, the School Of Electrical Engineering, KIIT DU of Electrical Engineering, KIIT-DU warmly welcomes @Charlotte Anne Nickerson, Creative Technologist and Interaction Designer, Harvard University (Class of 2024), Electrical Engineering, along with Topaz Aharon, MBA, MIT Sloan. A meaningful and productive interaction is currently underway, fostering academic exchange and cross-cultural collaboration.

Guest lecture by Prof. Agnieszka Miguel, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Seattle University, USA, on the theme “Developing as a Whole Engineer.” Department of Electrical Engineering organized an insightful guest lecture by Prof. Agnieszka Miguel, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Seattle University, USA, on the theme “Developing as a Whole Engineer.” The session, attended by 4th and 6th semester B.Tech students and faculty members, highlighted the importance of complementing technical expertise with soft skills, emotional intelligence, ethical responsibility, leadership, and continuous learning. Prof. Miguel discussed resilience, mentorship, networking, responsible engineering practices, and strategies for pursuing higher education, including MS/PhD pathways, funding, and profile building.
