Session on Electric Vehicles (EVs)

The School of Electrical Engineering (SOEE), in collaboration with the KIIT Student Activity Centre (KSAC), hosted an inspiring session on Electric Vehicles (EVs) by Mr. Sushil Reddy, an Energy Engineer alumnus of IIT Bombay and a Guinness World Record holder. Mr. Reddy captivated the audience with his remarkable journey — a record-breaking 8,849 km road trip across 35 cities and 13 states along India’s historic Golden Quadrilateral route in an electric car. His insightful lecture highlighted the facilities, opportunities, and challenges associated with the adoption of EVs in India. Students from diverse disciplines enthusiastically participated in the interactive quiz session, and the live demonstration of an electric car was the most engaging part of the event.
