KIIT School of Electrical Engineering offers doctoral programmes to address the challenging needs of technical excellence in science and technology. The School gives equal emphasis to original and applied research, supported by academic laboratories, research laboratories and modern classrooms.

Its research laboratories are established around faculty thrust areas and provide facilities for enhancing teaching and learning, exploring multidisciplinary research and consultancy in frontier areas of health care, transport, energy, communication and automation.

The School states that its laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and licensed software, and that it collaborates with industry for research, training and related activities.
