Alivarani Mohapatra

Dr. Alivarani Mohapatra presently working as Associate Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT deemed to be University. She has received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical engineering from NIT, Rourkela in the year 2018. She has received B.Tech degree from Utkal University (I.G.I.T. Sarang), and the M.Tech degree from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi both in Electrical Engineering in the year 2002 and 2008 respectively. She has more than 19 years’ experience in teaching and Research. She has joined KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar in the year 2009. Prior to joining KIIT University, she served as a faculty in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering BIT, Mesra, Ranchi from 2004 to 2009. She also served for TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), earlier known as Central Electricity Supply Company (CESCO), Bhubaneswar as graduate Electrical Engineer during 2003-04. She has visited and delivered lecture at Dumulpinar University, Turkey under Mevlana Exchange Programme -Academic staff in the year 2015. She is life member of ISTE, Charted Engineer IE (India), member of IE (India), member of IEEE (USA). Presently she has more than 45 research papers published in different high impact factor journals and conferences indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. She has successfully guided more than 12 M.Tech students and 1 Ph.D. students till date. Now six students are pursuing their Ph.D. under her guidance. She has attended many national and international conferences, presented papers, chaired the technical sessions, act as technical programme committee member, and organized AICTE sponsored faculty development programme. She is serving as a reviewer in various reputed journals such as IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, IEEE ACCESS, Elsevier, Wiley, and Taylor & Francis. Her research interest includes partial shading mitigation techniques of PV Array, Fault analysis of PV Array, Modeling, Analysis and Control of Photovoltaic Energy System.
