School of Electrical Engineering conducted Alumni Meet, Bhubaneshwar chapter on 13th December 2025 at conference hall, campus 3. The session started with welcome address by Dr.Arjyadhara Pradhan, FIC Alumni SOEE. Dr.Chinmoy kumar panigrahi, Director SOEE interacted with the alumni. Prof Manoj kumar Maharana gave his view how to take school of electrical engineering one step forward.Dr.Sarat chandra Swain ,Professor SOEE discussed the various programmes the department related to alumni .
There are was panel discussion on the topic “Role of Electrical Engineers in the age of AI”.All the alumni from Bhubanehswar who joined the session actively participated and gave their views. AI helps to detect the amount of electricity generations required to reduce the loss and make the system economic.Nowadays Data communicating units(DCU) are installed in the transmission system.AI helps to do predictive switch gear maintainence. Our exteemed alumni gave their views in this regard. Token of appreciation was given to all .Dr.Babita Panda, M.Tech programme head delivered the vote of thanks followed by high tea and photo session.
