On April 9th, 2025, the School of Electrical Engineering at KIIT University hosted an inspiring event to celebrate the innovation and technical acumen of its 4th-semester students in the Cyber-Physical and Industrial IoT Lab.
The occasion revolved around the final project presentations—a remarkable demonstration of the students’ dedication, creativity, and mastery of core skills. Under the guidance of Assistant Professor Ankit Soni, Lab Coordinator for the Cyber-Physical and Industrial IoT Lab, and Associate Professor Subhra Debdas , Faculty-in- Charge of IoT, students were provided with a valuable platform to showcase the practical knowledge, theoretical insights, and problem- solving capabilities they had developed over the semester. The event was further enriched by the support of technical assistants K.K. Swin, Surath Behera, and Anjana Satpathy, who played a pivotal
role in creating a productive and engaging learning environment.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of innovative projects to an esteemed panel of judges, including Hemanta Kumar Rath, Principal Scientist and Distinguished Engineer at TCS Research, Bhubaneswar; Dr. Ranjeet Patel, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering; Prof. C.K. Panigrahi, Director of the School of Electrical Engineering; and Prof. Subhrat Behera, Associate Dean of Training & Placement. Each project was evaluated not only on its technical depth but also on clarity of presentation, effectiveness in communicating complex concepts, and real-world applicability.
In conclusion, the 4th Semester Cyber-Physical and Industrial IoT Lab Project Presentation was a testament to KIIT University’s commitment to academic excellence and the holistic development of industry-ready engineers. The event’s success, driven by the collaboration of students, faculty, and expert judges, marked a significant milestone in the educational journey of these aspiring innovators in the field of electrical engineering.
