School of Electrical Engineering conducted KAMYA: ALUMNI TALK SERIES on 28th March,2024 on the topic “Automation & AI trends” at 7:30 pm in virtual mode. The session started with the welcome address by Dr. Arjyadhara Pradhan, FIC Alumni, School of Electrical Engineering. The speaker of the session Mr. Arjun Patnaik, is currently working as Assistant General Manager,Steel Authority of India Limited, Rourkela Steel Plant. He has completed his B.Tech in 2009. Mr Patnaik shared his experience and journey from B.tech to steel plant. He emphasized on the strengthening the core knowledge. He also mentioned that nowadays all the works in the industry are automated and how AI is used in the system process. Mr Patnaik interacted with the students and answered to all their queries. He also discussed about the recent technology he is working with. The discussion was like a bridge between the university and industry. More than 50 participants and many faculty members joined the session. The session was full of participatory discussion among the students and the speaker.
