School of Electrical Engineering organised International Alumni Meet on 1 st May,2022.
International alumni interaction session a chit chat session to get in touch with our alumni staying out of India. Students who have passed electrical engineering for both B.Tech and M.tech have joined the session. The session started with the welcome address by Dr. Arjyadhara Pradhan, Assistant Professor (II),Co-ordinator, Alumni Team School of Electrical Engineering. Dr.B.K Nayak , Dean School of Electrical engineering addressed our alumni. Our alumni spoke about their working expertise , their achievements and gave valuable suggestion for our current students. Art of giving was also discussed with our alumni which will be carried out by them at their place.
Alumni Interactive Session Organised by School Of Electrical Engineering on 12th December, 2020.
School of Electrical Engineering organised an Alumni Interactive Session with the 1st year students on 12th December, 2020. The session started with the welcome address by Dr.Arjyadhara Pradhan, Alumni Co-ordinator. Our own alumni Mr. Kritesh Arora (batch 2010-2014) currently working as a Senior Solution Engineer, Appian Corporation, Washington DC-Baltimore motivated the students and very nicely explained the scope of Electrical engineering, its future aspects. Mr. Kritesh discussed about time management, positive attitude, and how to deal with failures. He emphasized on focusing on targets and also guided students for doing higher studies. The programme was overall coordinated under the guidance of Dr. B.K.Nayak Dean, School of Electrical Engineering in online mode. 1st year tutor mentors Prof Deepak Gupta and Prof Lipsa Subhadarshini were also present in the session.
Alumni Interactive Session Organised by School Of Electrical Engineering on 19th December, 2020.
School of Electrical Engineering organised an Alumni Interactive Session with the 2nd year students on 19th December, 2020. The session started with the welcome address by Dr.Arjyadhara Pradhan, Alumni Co-ordinator. Our own alumni Mr. Vedula Seshadre Narayan (batch 2005-2009) currently working as Senior Manager (Electrical ) at Cold Rolling Mill Complex 3 (CRM 3) at Bokaro Steel Plant conducted a technical session with the 2nd year students. His area of expertise – Electrical Automation (Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems), Electrical Drives ( Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) drives), Low Voltage electrical protection systems, Process Instrumentation. He explained the working scenario in the core plant, how to prepare for core jobs. Students raised queries about different types of trainings to be taken to which he answered nicely. The overall session was conducted in online platform mode.
The programme was overall coordinated under the guidance of Dr. B.K.Nayak Dean, School of Electrical Engineering .2nd year faculty co-ordinator Prof. Sanhita Mishra along with Prof Shilpashree sahu were present in the session.
Alumni Talk Series Organised by School Of Electrical Engineering on 20th February , 2021
School of Electrical Engineering organised an Alumni Talk series for 3rd year and final year students on 20th February , 2021.The session started with the welcome address by Dr.Arjyadhara Pradhan, Alumni Co-ordinator. Mr. Soumyadeep Debnath, alumni of batch 2012-2016, currently working as Software Developer at TechnoTeam Bildverarbeitung GmbH – Ilmenau, Karl Liebknecht Straße 17, Germany delivered the talk on how to prepare for MS and higher studies. He has completed his Master of Science, Computational Science Engineering, University of Rostock, Germany. He clearly explained students the process to apply for different foreign Universities , all the exam patterns, the list of colleges. Students enquired about multidisciplinary research to which he answered that all depends on individual choice. He also encouraged students for higher education informing them about different scholarship pattern. The programme was overall coordinated under the guidance of Dr. B.K.Nayak Dean, School of Electrical Engineering in online mode. Dr. Banishree Mishra 3rd year Co-ordinator gave vote of thanks. All the 3rd year and final tutor mentors were also present in this wonderful session.
LabVIEW Training programme Organised by School Of Electrical Engineering on 30th December, 2021
School of Electrical Engineering organised training on LabVIEW software to all the M.Tech, Ph.D students , faculties and laboratory teachers . The training was given by our own alumni Suranjita Ganguly batch 2015 .She is currently pursuing her the doctoral program from IIT Hyderabad in Biomedical Engineering and have been selected for the prestigious Prime Minister’s Research Fellows (PMRF) fellowship in the 2020 cycle. The training was organised at 11:30am on 30.01.2021. More than 50 particpants joined the programme. This training programme is a continual learning process and is scheduled for one hour every saturday on virtual mode. The knowledge we share with our students comes back with more refined and updated form by our alumni. SOEE provides platform for the growth of our students , staffs as well as alumni. The training programme was co-ordinated by Dr.Arjyadhara Pradhan, under the guidance of Dr. B.K.Nayak, Dean School of Electrical Engineering.
Alumni Talk Series by Sarbajit Paul on 25/7/2020
Sarbajit Paul, an alumnus of 2013 Pass out batch (Electrical Engineering) has delivered a talk to the existing students on Virtual mode. He is presently working with Mechatronics System Research Laboratory (MSRL), Dong-A University & Korea Electro-Technology Research Institute (KERI), South Korea. He has a number of accolades added to his career such as Australia Award Endeavour Fellow (2017-18), Korean Government Scholar(2013-16) etc. He has a vast areas of interest includes Actuators, mechatronics system, Electromechanical energy conversion, Personal Aerial Vehicles, Energy Harvesters. Further, he is a number of research collaborations with various eminent researchers across the globe. He has completed various research projects funded by different agencies; and published patents & indexed papers in prestigious journals, conferences which is adding feather to his crown.
He has ignited the young minds through his motivational presentation titled “Electrical Engineering – Vision, Progress and future Roadmap.” He also interacted with the student participants and shared his views regarding prospects of higher studies, scholarships, research possibilities in future.
A handsome number of undergraduate and postgraduate students attended the session that sparked onto the young minds vis-à-vis. Prof.SubhenduBikashSantra has actively organized and moderated the whole event.
