On 27th September 2026, the KIIT Electrical Society (KES), under KSAC, in collaboration with the IEEE KIIT Student Branch, successfully hosted K-RAFT, a technical event focused on hands-on KiCad PCB Design. The event aimed to provide students with practical exposure to PCB designing, circuit development, and the fundamentals of translating circuit ideas into functional designs, fostering technical knowledge, creativity, and innovation.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Director, School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT-DU; Dr. Manoj Kumar Maharana, Dean, School of Electrical Engineering (SOEE), KIIT-DU; Dr. Jitendra Kumar Das, Associate Professor and Programme Head (M.Tech), School of Electronics Engineering, KIIT-DU; and Dr. Shubhasri Kundu, Faculty In-Charge, KIIT Electrical Society, KIIT-DU. The ceremony commenced with the invocation, followed by the lighting of the lamp, and the felicitation of the distinguished guests. The dignitaries shared their valuable insights and words of encouragement, inspiring students to explore new possibilities in technology and innovation.
K-RAFT served as a platform for students to explore the practical applications of PCB design and strengthen their understanding of circuit development. Through this initiative, KES aimed to encourage hands-on learning, technical collaboration, and the application of engineering concepts beyond the classroom, reflecting the spirit of innovation and engineering excellence at KIIT.
