Observation of Engineer’s Day on 15th September 2023 at School of Electrical Engineering

School of Electrical Engineering celebrated Engineer’s Day on 15th September at 5:00pm. Faculties and students of both B.Tech and M.Tech from different core branches joined the session. Faculties shared the importance of Engineer’s Day and discussed the various happening areas where research is going on. Students expressed their views about role of engineers for society. The programme ended with high tea and group photo session.

KES KREATE & KONQUER EVENT:A curious amalgam TECHNICAL PROJECTS ,ROBOWAR, CULTURAL SEGMENT

On March 4th, 2023 the KIIT Electrical society(KES) had organized one of its all time events, Kreate & Konquer. The event had a very interesting line up which included Innovation challenge in face of project demonstration where students put forth their innovation ideas and on top of that a Robo War was held and to sum up the day. A plethora of students demonstrated their projects and 4 teams participated in the battling their robots. The event concluded with a Cultural Event with people from Korus presenting their skills and talents in field of dance and singing.

Expert talk was organised by KIIT for “Jan Bhagidari” G20, 2023 India

School of Electrical Engineering conducted the expert talk on 5 th  April 2023 at 9.00 AM at Conference Hall Campus-3. Prof. Ashok Kumar Tripathy, Former Director General, CPRI, Bangalore delivered a Technical talk on the title "Making Tech-enabled Learning more Inclusive, Qualitative and Collaborative". He discussed about era of computing technology, various tools and software for soft computing, advanced learning technology, collaborative projects, power system applications, challenges, green hydrogen and various learning technology.

KES Konnect: ML with robotics seminar, 2022

On 15 May 2022, the KIIT ELECTRICAL SOCIETY(KES), KIIT UNIVERSITY organized its first offline event in the new normal, KES Konnect: ML with robotics seminar. The event started from 10:30 am and was inaugurated by our faculty coordinator Dr.Subhashree Kundu.She discussed about python basics and machine learning models. The event saw huge participation of more than 130 students and it was volunteered by 7 people. Python basics and machine learning theory was taught by our student coordinators, Mr Bishwayan Ghosh and Mr Rajnish. KALOPSIA, 2021

KIIT School of electrical Engineering started with a series of Extra and Co-curricular activities under the flagship of KALOPSIA which is completely a student-driven event. Kalopsia is divided into three parts. The events are both technical and non-Technical. So, under part-1, the first event that was organized was an Online Gaming Event named Kuantum where 47 teams i.e around 190 students had registered followed by a dance event Kritvaa where 20 students took part. Industry Interaction

School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University conducted interaction of Mr. Anurag Kumar, with the students of all the batches on virtual mode. Mr. Anurag Kumar being the CEO of Akon Group of Industries and founder of 7 nos. of companies across the world at a very young age was welcomed by Prof. Subrat Behera. Mr. Anurag Kumar, discussed on the recent market scenario and recent trends of technology an aspirant should prepare before recruitment session starts. As per the talk, a student must be clear with the fundamentals of the industry oriented subjects and focus well on the important technical activities of the industry while appearing for a particular interview.

The main objective of this research club is to enhance the knowledge in the field of Electric Vehicles and its charging facilities as well as the exploration of the innovative ideas of students and faculties in the field of Electric Vehicle.

Enhance the knowledge in the field of Electric Vehicle for exploring the innovative ideas and hardware implementation of different converter topologies and control methodologies that require for driving the vehicles and provide charging infrastructure. INDUSTRIAL STUDY TOUR

Students are taken to nearby solar Photovoltaic plant for study tour to visualize every components in reality and are explained the process at the site. This gives clarity to their knowledge and provides a platform to analyze several research problems associated with it.

COURSE BASED PROJECT

This method intends creative intimation leading to research and innovation.

In this method students make project models and present the working of it along with posters. It provides a platform for the students to exhibit, explain projects and present innovative ideas in an open forum.
