Session started with introduction of Mr. Subrat Das, Chief Financial Officer at Sembcorp Green Infra Ltd. Before World War II, mostly human resources were used for training soldiers and other purposes but not economic development, but after World War II economic development came into issue by Europe and Russia. Through economic development, standards of living of human improved. Human development and Economic development are completely interlinked with each other. He discussed about how the present government is working to boost the economy. National Infrastructure Policy aims to shift people from rural area to urban area so that GDP can be increased and urbanization will boost employment generation. He also discussed about Paris Act for climate change due to urbanization and its results. He discussed about the creation of job market in the field of electricity, transportation and infrastructure and how these sectors can boost the economy. Proper transportation is required for proper movement of goods particularly agricultural goods. Now a days thrust area in the field of energy is solar energy. Research and innovation is going in the field of solar energy and entire country can live on solar energy. There is planning of one land, one Sun and on grid. Africa,India, Bangkok and Thailand are planning to setup one grid of solar energy for continuous electrical supply . Then the session ended with vote of thanks.
